That’s Danny. He’s 11 years old and just like Darina, Tsveti and thousands of other Bulgarian kids needs your help. You can find out more about Danny and his condition from his website http://www.help-dani.info There’s no need to retell the whole story, but I’d like to quote just a few lines from the text you can find on his site:
Every time I read such an appeal for help, it gets me thinking that we, people, have been blessed with a precious gift – our ability to help each other! Being able to help and do someone good, having the desire to do so, these are the things that should make us grateful for being human. It’s exactly these qualities that distinguish us from all other creatures on this Earth. Particularly the desire to do good – that’s our chief driving force, that’s what keeps us going. It’s not important if we’ve made a small or a big step, it’s important that we did it out of our heart’s desire and we moved things forwards. And sometimes it takes so little to change someone’s life for the better. A smile, a helping hand – our busy days prevent us from noticing them, somehow. That’s why I ask you – stay here for a while! Stretch your hand, give someone a smile, help him made one step forwards! Let’s help Danny keep going! And let’s wish him, with all our heart, to tread a long and successful path through life and wake up each day with a smile on his face, and be thrilled at all the possibilities a new day brings! To all of you who already helped us – thank you! To all of you, who will do this now – thank you!
