Dari and her parents are ready to leave for Israel. Their passes and their visas are ready , the airtickets were kindly made available by our national airline. If everything's all right with the child, they are scheduled to leave on February, 18th, at 22:50 hrs from Sofia Airport. In Tel Aviv they will be met and transported to Hadassah Ein-Karem in Jerusalem.
It's an established practice of the clinic to avoid keeping the child in hospital environment as long as the tests and the donor search are taking place. That's why, Dari will stay in the hotel on on the hospital grounds . Here you can find the offer from the hotel for a one-month stay.
The girl will be treated by Professor Shimon Slavin and his team. The offer for treatment that the Professor made and we're showing here for you, is not only the most reasonable of all offers we received from all over the world, but it also included a 10% rebate - a friendly gesture of the clinic for patients from Bulgaria. The offer comprises a 6-month treatment, but according to reports from parents who have their children treated in this clinic, we have to be prepared for a longer stay – maybe around a year, and it may well take up to two years for a final recovery. The disease is hard to control and is often accompanied by a number of complications, up to and including a second transplantation. Thanks to all of you we are now financially in a position to meet any extra expenditures, should they occur. The rest is just a matter of good luck, and that's what we wish to Bulgaria's little sweetheart!
We will keep you regularly informed about her condition and the progress of the treatment.
